Our Breakfast Blend is best described as a balanced medium roast with walnut, mild apple, subtle raisin, and toffee.

The first sip opens with walnut, creating a warm roasted-nut flavor. Mild apple follows, adding a clean fruit flavor that brightens the cup without becoming sharply sour.

As the coffee develops, subtle raisin adds a deeper, concentrated fruit sweetness. Toffee rises behind it, connecting the walnut and fruit before carrying a lightly caramelized sweetness into the finish.

This coffee moves from walnut into mild apple and subtle raisin before finishing with toffee. The walnut and toffee give the blend a familiar foundation, while the apple and raisin keep the flavors from becoming flat.

Customers reviewing this exact coffee do not identify any additional flavors outside the official tasting profile. Customers report enjoying its taste and being able to drink it black, but those remarks do not establish separate flavor notes.

Your coffee is roasted after you order, then packed and shipped within days. It does not sit in a warehouse waiting for someone to buy it. This allows its walnut, apple, raisin, and toffee flavors to reach you while the coffee is still at its best.

Why It Stands Out:

This is not a flavored coffee. The walnut, mild apple, raisin, and toffee characteristics come from the coffee itself rather than added flavoring.

Breakfast Blend combines South American Arabica coffees to create a balanced progression of roasted nuts, gentle fruit, and caramelized sweetness.

The fully washed process removes more of the fruit surrounding the coffee seeds before drying. This encourages a cleaner flavor and helps keep the walnut, apple, raisin, and toffee distinguishable. The coffee is then dried in the sun before roasting.

These coffees are cultivated at high-mountain elevations under a combination of partial and full sun. The blend brings these coffees together to create a dependable morning cup rather than emphasizing one origin or one extreme flavor.

The medium roast develops the walnut and toffee without covering the mild apple and raisin. This keeps the coffee balanced enough for everyday brewing while preserving a complete flavor progression from the first sip through the finish.

Customers reviewing this exact coffee have not reported additional flavor notes beyond the official tasting profile. Their comments instead indicate that the coffee can be enjoyed black, allowing the walnut, apple, raisin, and toffee to remain unobstructed by milk or sweetener.

Best Brewing Methods:

  1. Standard Drip: Produces the most balanced expression of the complete flavor progression. Walnut appears first, mild apple adds gentle brightness, raisin provides deeper fruit sweetness, and toffee develops through the finish.

  2. Pour Over: Creates greater separation between the flavors. Mild apple and raisin become easier to identify, while walnut and toffee remain underneath.

  3. French Press: Produces a fuller interpretation that emphasizes walnut, raisin, and toffee. The mild apple becomes softer and less distinct.

  4. Cold Brew: Produces a mellow cup with greater emphasis on walnut and toffee. The apple and raisin become more subdued as the perceived acidity decreases.

  5. Espresso: Concentrates the walnut and toffee while making the mild apple more direct. This creates a stronger interpretation than the blend’s traditional drip presentation.

Based on the complete progression from walnut into mild apple, subtle raisin, and toffee, Standard Drip is our winning brewing method. It develops all four flavors without concentrating the fruit too sharply or making the roasted walnut excessively heavy. Pour over provides greater separation, but Standard Drip produces the most balanced version of this Breakfast Blend.

Standard Drip Brewing Instructions:

Use approximately 2 level tablespoons of medium-ground coffee for every 6 fluid ounces of water.

For 12 fluid ounces of brewed coffee, use approximately 4 level tablespoons of coffee.

Fill the coffee maker with fresh, filtered water. If your machine allows temperature control, use approximately 195°F to 200°F.

Distribute the ground coffee evenly inside the filter and begin the brewing cycle.

The finished coffee should open with walnut, followed by mild apple and subtle raisin. Toffee should become more noticeable through the finish.

If the coffee tastes weak or hollow, increase the amount of coffee slightly. If it tastes bitter, dry, or excessively heavy, use slightly less coffee or grind it marginally coarser.

Taste the coffee before adding milk or sweetener. Milk emphasizes the walnut and toffee, while a small amount of sugar can bring the apple and raisin forward.

Choose Your Grind:

Level 1. Espresso: Very fine. Concentrated, intense, and spice-forward. Built for espresso machines.

Level 2. Standard: Medium grind. Smooth, balanced, and reliable. Best for automatic drip machines, coffee pots, and reusable Keurig pods.

Level 3. Coarse: Large grind. Full-bodied, smooth, and lower in bitterness. Best for French press and cold brew.

Level 4. Whole Bean: Full beans. Best for maximum freshness, complete control, and grinding immediately before brewing.
